Stair Refinishing in Victoria, BC
Hardwood stairs are a focal point in your home, and worn treads or a tired finish can affect the look of the whole space. Excel Hardwood Floors provides stair refinishing in Victoria, BC, with careful attention to the details around each step.
Renew the look of your hardwood stairs
Refinishing can refresh the appearance of existing wood stairs and help protect them from everyday wear. Each staircase is different, so the right approach depends on the wood, the condition of the existing finish, and the details of the stairs and surrounding areas.
We’ll assess the project and discuss the options before work begins, including the finish and sheen that best suit your home.
Careful work around the details
Stair refinishing takes patience and attention to the surrounding surfaces. Excel Hardwood Floors works slowly and carefully to help protect nearby areas from damage while refinishing your stairs.
If your project also includes hardwood floors, we can discuss how the stair finish may coordinate with the flooring and the overall look you want.
Choose a finish that suits your home
Excel Hardwood Floors offers oil-based and water-based polyurethane finishes. Oil-based finishes create a warm, rich, amber tone, while water-based finishes offer lighter appearance options and a wider range of sheens.
The wood and existing conditions influence the final result. We’ll help you compare the options and choose a finish for your project.
